Here are our top 5 Cafes in North Norfolk

1. Bang In Wells

At the top of Staithe Street stands a bright orange cafe with a famous story attached.  Bang in Wells has been named in fond memory of the owner, Christopher Tennant's incomparable father, the late Lord Glenconner (Colin Tennant) who named his own restaurant in St Lucia, Bang Between The Pitons. The cafe also gets a mention between the pages of the famous Lady Glenconner’s book Lady in Waiting and is a diamond in its own right. Scrubbed wood floors and Orange paintwork invite you to stay cosy inside alongside the woodburner on rainy days or in the courtyard when the sun beats down.  Not just the greatest fry up and pancakes in town it has so much more to offer on its menu. https://www.banginwells.co.uk/

2. Stiffkey Stores

This little village store is a haven of calm and style slap bang in the middle of one of the coast’s most famous villages, Stiffkey. The village is best known for its infamous resident the vicar Harold Francis Davidson who after a public scandal, in 1932 was convicted of immorality and defrocked. However Alice and Andy have definitely put Stiffkey back on the map for all things bright and beautiful. In the barn and shop you will find unique homewares, books and toys which sit alongside local produce. Sip your cappuccino and nibble your peanut blondie in the shingle courtyard, home to beach huts and blankets for all weathers. This little pitstop is a true haven, enjoy! @stiffkeystores

3. Wells Deli

A favourite location to gaze out over the marshes and sea beyond. In the summer the cafe looks out on The Lifeboat Horse, a huge sculpture made from steel bars and whisky barrels, created by artist Rachael Long. Order at the bar where a feasting counter of pastries await. The lunch menu is quirky and will rival its London cousins on the veggie and super food options.  Eat in or take away veggie or carnivore you can’t beat the local sausage roll or a veggie samosa!
