The previous owner told us that he remembers the floor of this room being carved to the shape of a boat hull when he moved in as a child. The yard outside and buildings all being part of the boat building community in it’s past.
The boat builders would never have guessed their boat house would now be a cinema room! With the original roof timbers as part of the ceiling making it a truly cosy space. Ready yourself with popcorn on the vintage yellow sofas, because tonight is movie night at Chancery House.

This King Size Bedroom with shower/bath ensuite is a fun and quiet space away from other bedrooms via a separate staircase. With wardrobes built into the eaves and windows either side of the room it is both bright and airy in the day and cosy at night.
The open eaves were the site of welcome surprise during restorations and revealed a treasure trove of the former owners collection of art and paper.
Hidden were two beautiful oil paintings ofnudes that are now in one of the bathrooms and papers which were used to create the huge collection of Poppy and Iris paintings by Alice Stoner.
