FAQs

  • We offer a minimum 3 night stay in peak and off peak seasons.

  • For weekends our changeover days are three nights from Friday to Monday.

    Short mid-week breaks are possible for a minimum of 3 nights dependent on availability.

    For weekly bookings you can book Monday to Monday or Friday to Friday.

  • You can book via our secure booking system. Just select your dates and the system will invite you to confirm your booking with a deposit. 

     

    We will confirm your booking on a confirmation email once we receive your funds.

  • If your booking start date is more than 8 weeks away you will be asked to pay a non refundable deposit.

     

    This deposit is 10% of the Rental Fee. The balance of the Rental Fee is payable 8 weeks before the start of the Rental Period.

     

    The entire Rental Fee is payable at the same time as your Booking if the Booking is made 8 weeks or less before the start of the Rental Period.

  • All cancellations need to be made by email to info@saltandhay.co.uk and may incur a cost as stated in the terms and conditions at the time of your booking.

  • Please be reassured our team are doing all they can to minimise the risk of COVID-19 infection to both clients and our housekeeping team. Please find further information here

  • You can arrive at your stay from 4pm and checkout by 10am. If you would like an early check in please chat to our house manager when they contact you just before your stay.

  • We welcome young families and offer the use of a high chair and travel cot during your stay. However as with all our old houses there are unseen hazards and we ask that you be watchful of your little ones. Especially the stairs where we are unable to offer a stairgate.

  • Yes! At The Normans and Chancery House we are able to offer hire of a friend's beach hut on Wells Beach. Check out the link for details on our area page.

  • Available on request, please ask in advance of your stay.

  • Yes towels and bedlinen are included in your stay along with tea towels and cloth in the kitchen.

     

    We can offer beach towels for a charge of £5 each. Just let us know before. 

  • Yes there is parking for 5 cars in front of the house, contact us if you anticipate needing more spaces.

  • Yes, please see our ‘Area’ page for our most up to date recommendations

  • We welcome your furry friends and take up to 2 small dogs for a charge of £50 per dog. We will supply bowls and towels to make their stay easier and just ask that you keep them downstairs and off of the furniture.

     

    If you anticipate your dog needing company when you go out we can arrange a paid dogsitter. Contact us for more information.

  • Yes recreational WIFI is available throughout the house

  • Yes we have one cot and one high chair available just let us know and we will make sure they are set up ready for your stay.

  • We just ask that to assist our housekeeper that you strip your beds and bag the bedlinen in the bags provided in each bedroom.
