FAQs

Salt & Hay - Luxury holiday homes in Norfolk

  • We offer a minimum 3 night stay in peak and off peak seasons.

  • For weekends our changeover days are three nights from Friday to Monday.

    Short mid-week breaks are possible for a minimum of 3 nights dependent on availability.

    For weekly bookings you can book Monday to Monday or Friday  to Friday.

  • You can book via our secure booking system. Just select your dates and the system will invite you to confirm your booking with a deposit. 

    We will confirm your booking on a confirmation email once we receive your funds.

  • We offer a minimum 3 nights in off peak and a minimum of 7 nights in school holidays and other peak times.

  • For weekends our changeover days are three nights from Friday to Monday

    Short mid-week breaks are possible for a minimum of 3 nights off peak dependent on availability

    For weekly bookings you can book Monday to Monday or Friday to Friday.

  • All cancellations need to be made by email to info@saltandhay.co.uk and may incur a cost as stated in the terms and conditions at the time of your booking.

  • Please be reassured our team are doing all they can to minimise the risk of COVID-19 infection to both clients and our housekeeping team. Please find further information here

  • You can arrive at your stay from 4pm and checkout by 10am. If you would like an early check in please chat to our house manager when they contact you just before your stay.

  • We welcome young families and offer the use of a high chair and travel cot during your stay along with plastic tableware. 

    However as with all our old houses there are unseen hazards and we ask that you be watchful of your little ones. Especially the stairs where we are unable to offer a stairgate.

  • Available on request, please ask in advance of your stay.

  • Yes towels and bedlinen are included in your stay along with tea towels and cloth in the kitchen.

     

    We can offer beach towels for a charge of £5 each. Just let us know before your stay.

  • You can park directly outside the house but as the cottage is in a rural location and has farm vehicles pass regularly we suggest drop off and parking in bays outside the tea room or opposite the shops further down the road.

  • Unfortunately not at this time however please refer to the list of our favorite places to eat. If there is something you particularly fancy then please get in touch with us so that we can recommend something for you.

  • We welcome your furry friends and accept small dogs for a charge of £50 per dog. We will supply bowls and towels to make their stay easier and just ask that you keep them downstairs and off of the furniture. 

    Please keep in mind that the cottage is on the cosy side in regards to space therefore it may not be ideal for dogs.

    To the rear of the property there is a small enclosed courtyard. 

  • Yes the password will be on display upon arrival.

  • Yes we have one cot and one high chair available just let us know and we will make sure they are set up ready for your stay.

  • We just ask that to assist our housekeeper that you strip your beds and bag the bedlinen in the bags provided in each bedroom.
